Default e brake springs

There are two tabs on the e brake linings for the return springs. With the lining installed, do the springs go on the inside or outside tab? Couldn't really tell with Les's diagram. Also, the three linkage connecting pins go head out - correct?

They fit on the outer most holes. If you try the inner holes, they can catch on the carrier.
