Any one have a link to a good video on how to remove the tyre from my 1828 AA truck with the wooden spoke wheel.

I believe it is like a model "t" whereas you have to remove the "wheel" from the "rim" first, then take the tire off the rim.

It should look like this....does it have a "split" in the rim? I can't tell from
your photo..the top quarter is missing. If yes, then remove the 6 nuts/clamps too remove... |

Re: tyre removal AA truck
Cool always wondered how those style of rims worked... Thanks for the pic moordigian!
but yes a sawsall is your friend in removing the tire... I wouldn't be surprised if that rim is rusted thru junk on the inside...Of the 5-6 tires Ive had to cut off, the rims were junk on the inside due to the tire collecting and trapping water...

Re: tyre removal AA truck
Thanks folks
Problem solved off with the wheel from the hub as suggested , many hours of oiling and prying and off came the springy tyre rims The rest the tyre shop can do , those old tyres are really thick and fossilised . |
