Default Fender braces

Can anyone help me with a photo of the front and rear fender braces? I have them brand new but I have not figured out their arrangement.

39 pickup.

Looks like you did a bit of work on the bottom end of rear fenders. Looks great. Two brackets on the rear, one on the front. If I'm remembering right.

Thanks Tinker, I actually got it that way. Keeping this one as found, other than some clean up and clear coat. My brother actually patched that fender (and booger welded it) keeping with the theme, I think it works. Detroit Autorama is this weekend, so the truck will take a back seat for a few days.

The rear fender has one brace at the rear of the wheel opening. The front has one brace and the headlight stand that also supports the front of the fender.

Here's a photo of a 40 I'd done. Not 100% certain it's the same as your '38???

Do any of you have a photo of the headlight brace? I am trying to determine placement.

Set up the hood first. That will tell how high that brace will need to be.

I’ve got the hood, grille, and fenders on. I see theres a brace and a support.

Apparently I don’t have the headlight braces, and I don’t think they are reproduced. I’ll have to fabricate something. I saw the ones in the photos on this post. That’s what I’m missing.

Default Fender braces

I’m missing these also.

When you said placement, i assumed you had them. They are pretty key to the front fenders and lights....

Tinker- I couldn’t agree more. But I’m not concerned too much on authenticity. So I’ll fabricate something for it.

Was that just a common farmer fix?
