Default 1927 Ford Model A Newspaper Marketing Campaignn

Was running through old Wyoming newspaper articles on a completely different topic and happened down a path of following Henry Ford's marketing campaign for the introduction of the Model A in Nov/Dec 1927. Though I would share.

You don't see ads like those in the news paper today. Of course, you don't see news papers today.

You mainly see newspapers today on the internet - what is hard to do is hold one in your hands.

Cool ads. Thanks for these, makes for interesting reading! Just recently purchased my first "A", a frame-off resto, 1929 Fordor Leatherback. Grew up around Model A's on the farm, belonged to my uncle. Wanted one ever since was a kid.

We made a video a few years back talking about the week-long newspaper ad campaign Ford did in late November and early December of 1927 to announce The New Ford.
Check it out if you have a couple of minutes.

Thanks Steve. I brought it home last week. A 7 year total frame-off restoration.
Is your '28 a 60-A Leatherback? Would you mind sending me a larger pic of it via PM or email? Cool that it's been in your family since '63.

Thanks -

Yes, mine is a leatherback. If you look in my pictures you can find a couple of decent ones. The one in the snow is when I brought it home to get it cleaned up for my dad's funeral 3 years ago. The one with me beside it was at a cruise in earlier this year. It was originally rose beige and seal brown and my dad kept those colors when he restored it.

Thanks Steve, that's great. Mine is the same color combo with the orange pin stripe, as just added 3 pics to an album.
