Re: Oil level. Is your dipstick lying? Make sure you know what you've got.
Just a FYI, I filled an engine with oil today. A clean 8BA car style oilpan with the sump in the middle. Added a couple of pictures, 3 quarts, and then 4 quarts. 5 quarts (gave it time to run down into the pan)put the level a quarter inch over the full mark. Ran the engine up to temp, stopped the engine and immediately checked the level. Was just slightly over the full mark.
