Here are pictures of a local "home created" 1956 Ford Ranchero. To be technically correct, I should call this one a 1957 model, as our local 1957 Fords came with the side trim from the 1956 Ford Fairlanes. This is a nicely styled owner built Ute with cleaner lines than the Mainline Ute that Ford Australia offered at this time. The Mainline Ute got rear fenders that jutted out, so having a smooth side like this one, is very nice. Unlike the "utes" in previous Posts, this one does have the high windshield, as the Sedan and Ute were the only two body styles offered by Ford Australia.
