Off to Youngstown Ohio again this morning to visit Snyder's. The guy that bored the block had a minor problem and bored it over size more than expected. So I will pick up another set of pistons and make another stab at this old engine repair.
Several other items I need to get, as I think through the engine assembly process too.
Good to have these folks with quality parts not too far away.

i also plan to work on the valve seats in this block, more on that later.

Pulled tractors last night and my tractors did ok which means they did not break down and they did not come in last. We had fun. Will pull Allis tractors again Friday night at Spartansburg PA fair. (Allis WD45 and Allis D-17).
Regards,
Chris

I'm no machinist and I'm sure that you checked your guy out BUT I'd be concerned about the mistake in boring. Usually the block is bored once you actually have the pistons to insure the proper clearance.
