Trying to get the TV cable to mount to the 2GC Rochester was a challenge. If I had to do it over I would use later model transmission with TPS on carb and aftermarket control module.
I put an 86 AOD ‘53 with with an Speedway Adaptor and Lockar linkage. Works great. Gotta be careful and set the throttle pressure correctly or you can burn up the trans.

Also, pay attention to the rear end ratio. If above 3:50, the shifting will drive you up the wall. Solved my problem (3:90) by putting in a $25 Transgo shift kit. Works great.
