With the 1957 to '74 points, the modern condensers are crap. Make sure that you carry an extra condenser under your seat for that roadside emergency. NOS modern condensers should be better condensers if they have been properly stored. My first modern condenser lasted me about 35 miles before it crapped out. I have put several thousand miles on since then and it has been reliable. My modern points are still spot on for adjustment.
