Several years ago a friend of mine bought one of the Russian engines(New old stock)He was an excelent mechanic and had built many engines. When he set the Russian engine up to put in his car he told me that after internal inspection, he replaced the following:Rings,Valves,and Valve springs.When he was through we went for a ride....
the sound was so different...thick casting and no rusting of the water jacket ! What a wonderful sound !!
