Re: Can anyone recommend a rear hub puller?
I have a puller that I bought at a swap meet so I have no idea what brand it is. It even looks as though it could be home made. It works on both the grooved and ridged hubs except on out of 8 I have that has a larger diameter in the groove.
The puller is two pieces that form a cylinder and after you put them around the groove (or ridge), a sleeve goes over them to hold them together and a bolt in the end is tightened to pull the hub. There has been only one hub that I couldn't pull with that puller and that was because someone had used loctite on the taper (GRRRR!).
