Not wanting to hijack the thread (sorry, jchochole), but are you referring to closed cars only, or all body styles, Tom?
I've believe my door cards and kick panels to be original. The photos show my E28 phaeton's original blue/green paint (see top edge of door where pin striping remains) and the interior (door and kick panel). I know the light doesn't help to distinguish the colours too well, but it looks like a matching colour combo to me - i.e. the interior trim is also green. This is a Canadian built, Aussie assembled car - maybe things were different here?
