I have been scammed. I posted an ad in the want ads and was messaged by jackdennis4679 that referred me to an email indicating that he knew the part was available. I was looking for the elusive late flathead merc oil pickup.
The whole exchange didn't seem right, but I was super busy at work and had my guard down.
Long story short- the "seller" sent me a pic he scrapped off of ebay, I sent him a Paypal "friends and family" and I'm screwed.
I was also contacted by randygross340 (looks like he is now banned) with the very same angle- now i'm getting fishy emails from a "Brad Williams". (
[email protected]).
Be careful guys, this is the first time this has happened to me- never again!
