I based my recommendations on the performance of this cam, which I thought was a Clay Smith 272-2. At least thaT was what was stamped on the cam. Now I have no reason to believe that it wasn't the same cam Roy used in the car. That was over 60 years ago and I wanted to use the cam Myself, but wasn't racing at the time.
However the car preformed very well with this cam, what ever it was. Still a mystery
