A sad day for families of 3 fire bombers who died in aircrash.

An American C130 or Hercules with 3 American crew on board has crashed and burned killing all 3. The tragedy happened in what is the Snowy Mountains south west of Sydney.
I am no longer involved with firebombing so what I report is simply what has been broadcast on the media. It seems possible they were caught in a blind gully.
The NSW fire department report there is still more than 60 fires burning across NSW and 17 still out of control. Maybe the remaining 43 present no potential problem. We have had good rain in many parts of the eastern states but some locations nil. High winds have been widespread and yesterday there were areas where total fire bans were still in place. The state of Victoria likewise are still experiencing some fires.
Unless there is something of significance this will be my last report or comments on fires.
