a 3/8 breaker bar will work , although it is a sloppy fit. If the square gets rounded off and it's real tight you may not get it out. If you want to keep that plug hole square buy a piece of "key stock" at a bearing house that measures 7/16" square. This is a very stock item and you can buy a small section and cut it up and give it to your friends as a present. Either grip it with a 7/16" wrench or better yet weld a hex nut on the end of it and use a socket on it
