Ford Barn Folks,
Some pictures of the B engine #1 during initial stages of assembly work. I think I may look at fabricating a side engine stand for the engine. Sure would be a lot easier to manage it.
Lots going on in this picture, new thrust washers in place, new replaceable bearing insert in place, new rear aluminum upper insert custom hand fit and installed in block.
New style rubber rear seal on machined crank:
Adjustable lifters in place. Block was machined to allow lifters to be adjusted with out rolling the engine over as much:
The new oil drain tube, off lower rear main, in place and drain checked to make sure it is open:
Rear main in place over the rubber rear seal, and new thrust washers fit into the block:
The old cam gear didnt make it (damaged) as nut was removed. Have new aluminum cam gear to install:
Hope things are good in Ford Land!
Regards,
Chris
