Thanks for the links and information on the "B" engine block.
Interesting that Vince's article mentions that those diamond blocks had inserts in the exhaust valves which is exactly what my machinist told me Friday.
Yes serial numbers and location could easily be misinterpreted.
Dale thanks for the link to the water glass material. I may just do that. The machinist did not feel there would be any issues. But sometimes belt and suspenders is not a bad thing!
Looking forward to drag all of you through a engine assembly in a month or so.
Today we changed our the old 'casbohm' welded pitman arm with the new one. Went well, drives good!
Added fire extinguisher to the floor board in front of the seat
Pulled the shifter, and added some material to raise the shifter a little. It did help, and shifted smoother with shorter throws between gears.
Took a ride to John K. To drool on his 42 Deluxe. Going to be a roller soon with brakes!
