Need help identifying a carb and distributor
I recently picked up a French V8 60 so it's really a V8 84 Aquilon. I'm getting ready to get some parts and want to make sure I get the right ones.
The distributor looks to me like one from an 8BA but I don't know that they interchange. Not sure but maybe mine was machined down to fit. An 8BA cap seems to fit perfectly. It has a stamping or casting number on the side that ready 38058. The paint is worn off the tag on the side but I can see remnants of the letter F. Originally they came with a Ducellier dist.
The carb is a Ford 94. That much I know but I'm trying to narrow it down to the approximate year do I can order the correct rebuild kit. It's got the 1 1/16 on the side and I think that says it's a later one. The engine originally had a Zenith 32 NDIX.
The engine ran last week with the current set up. Figured I'd replace the cap, rotor, points, plugs and rebuild the carb before running it again.
Thanks and any help will be appreciated.
