The longer hub is for the 1941 Mercury and is a 19A-8600 part. The 91A-8600 fan is used on the 39 and 40 Mercury and the 39 Deluxe, all 85 HP 1940 model cars and pickup and all V8 model 1941 Ford cars and pickup.
