A standard stand can be used by bolting to the coolant inlet on the side of the block. Use grade 5 bolts that bottom out in the threaded holes. Add washers if the bolts are too long. Tack weld the arms so that they do not move. Two advantages: You don't have to buy a special adapter. The pan an be completely bolted on without removing the engine from the stand (not possible with the normal adapter).
