Well it's cooled off now. 31c (88f) and it feels better. however the sun is shortly to rise and the day will warm up again. I feel for the fire fighters working in this temp plus heat from the fires. Much of this could have been avoided with better management in the winter with prescription burns of undergrowth in the bush. Greens have resisted these burns and one of our political parties were unable to govern without them and they get awful dictatorial.

My thoughts are with these coal face fire fighters. There is at least 2 fire fighters who have lost their homes whilst helping others and several die including 3 aircrew.
