I was watching your post, also hoping that someone would post some photos. I'm enclosing the pictures I took of my 31 Deluxe Roadster disassembly. You can see that it's not original, but it might be close to how the job was originally done. Hopefully, someone has better pictures of the original upholstery for this area, as I'm going to be in the same boat as you, soon. Hope these help some.
