We are our own worst enemy. But, on the other hand, US companies are interested in minimum investment and max profits. The number one force behind all this is the stockholder. They have to take care of the stockholders. We got a fuel pump at work today for a used car, a GM, and the pump is made in China. It says on the box made in Mainland China. The pump sells for over $400 list price. Not much is made here anymore. Ford buys electronics from Mexico, Phillipines and china. Truck mirrors come from Australia. Many plastic trim pieces come from Malaysia, India and Indonesia. Alot of parts come from who knows where and are assembled here. Ford Parts Cataloging is done in India, Many of the words used are of British spelling. Many of the illustrations are Japanese ( Mazda ). Cataloging is not what it used to be. Pics stink and descriptions are translations and misleading.
We asked for this and we're really getting it, without the aid of vaseline!
