Not only that, but they were a great looking car in an era of NOT great looking cars. Truly no offense intended, but the best you can say about the '60 Chevy was that it was at least better looking than the '59 Chevy...not a whole lot more, though. '59 and '60 Buicks were rather strange, too (though I liked them when I was a little kid.) The '59 Olds?? YIKES! The '61 Chevy was a visual flop, big time. And by 1960, the great looking Virgil Exner Mopar designs introduced in '57 were starting to look
weird.
The lines of the '60 Ford were clean and cool. And they schooled Chevy on how horizontal fins and tail lights are SUPPOSED to be done.
