I agree, I did replace both spring packs ,they both have the same rating ,also the 53/54/55 f-100 trucks have the fuel tank mounted on the drivers side on the frame this would add to the problem , Thinking about taking the drivers side spring pack to a spring shop and having another leaf added of a higher rated main leaf.

If you have a level concrete surface such as garage floor, measure trim height(s) at four corners of frame to floor. This will give you an idea of what the true trim height is (with present springs) (truck and car had different spring ratings according to how equipped or what weight capacity rating the truck was built with).
The Service Manual should give directions and specs. Or you could just shim the leaning side to arrive @ proper height if just a driver.
Check pins and eye bushings.
