Safewiz, congratulations on using your Model A as a daily driver in s. Fla. You're doing what most of us just dream about. You're doing a lot of driving!

You're correct about the lights being brighter when idling with the alternator. But, I do carry a generator/ cutout on long trips just in case the alternator quits on me. It hasn't yet.
