I knew I didn't have the talent to do woodgraining so I bought some veneer and cut it to fit the relief areas on the dash. Kind of veneer inserts in the dash. They are held in place with contact cement and the screws that are in the dash already. Just a thought for those of us who are dangerous with paint.
