With respect, the late 18-prefix axle drive shaft is not the same length as the early/mid-year B-prefix axle drive shaft. The B shaft extends all the way through the pinion gear into the differential housing whereas the 18 shaft end at the coupling with the pinion gear shaft forward of the differential housing. I don't have exact measurements handy, but from the above it is pretty clear that the two '32 drive shafts are significantly different in overall length.
