I have Dad's 1973 John Deere 110 lawn tractor with the 10HP Kohler engine.

Dad bought it in 1973 when I went away to college.

"Dad - why didn't you buy this when I was here."

"Well, I had you to use the hand mower - that's why."

Still starts easily - burns a little oil - but gets the lawn done in less than an hour.

I now have a spare transaxle I bought on Ebay for $75 delivered. Someday I'll put it in and get back that 1st gear that went out.
