Thanks Steve, it is hard to tell by looking at the picture but the Trojan manifold has long runners and stands way out from the exhaust manifold. It was necessary to drill a new hole for the choke rod. Any debris that would enter the choke end of any carburetor would go up the manifold and out the exhaust. Debris would have to enter through the fuel line to clog the needle valve. Here is another dual updraft manifold that I run on my speedster. This intake hugs the exhaust manifold like the original but the rear carb angles outward to help clear the exhaust manifold and prevent breathing the hot air. This manifold was easier to set up because I didn't have to relocate the choke rod, it also outperforms the Trojan because of larger runners and swan design. xxx
