My apologies once again for being pretty much MNIA on this thread.
This car is causing me fits. It will get done and it will get done to my standards.. Will I have any hair remaining to pull out at that time? Doubtful.

This car as received had been cut, welded, pounded on... you name it, it was done. The real problem is that whomever did the cutting, pounding, etc. had zero idea of how to measure.
Today, the first attempt to fit the trunk lid yields the fact that the rear quarters were installed too high. Well, not the entire rear quarter, just the "top half" - above the stainless molding line.
Fortunately it took only about two hours to get the right side close to where I want it. Tomorrow I'll deal with the left side.
All in all, this car is coming together and yes, it feels good to save another '40. But at the cost of my hair???
