Can you post a pic of the rods connecting to the carb?

I have to press the gas pedal on mine to move the throttle rod or it is very stiff. Do you have the lever flipped the wrong way that connects to the throttle rod? So it is engaged and causes the engine to race when starting or does it only race when starting with choke On?

Remember the split pieces of vacuum hose you put in the cab on the choke rod. Did that fall off so the rod is not pushing full in but can't because it's already fully disengaged the choke?
