Change light globes, flasher can and if you have electric wipers, that too. I highly recommend you convert the starter to 12v. No matter what the drive, it won't last long. I've seen 6v starters that were supposedly running just fine on 12v but when I took them apart, the truth was revealed. Destroyed drives, flogged out keyways, bent shafts (even the larger 5/8" shaft), you name it.
