on the top of the drum doktor are the rear drum adapters, one that fits in the wheel bearing, and the small cone for the outside. ---a drum doktor cuts different than most brake lathes instead of a steady feed that makes a spiral cut it cuts a full turn then moves over with a ratchet mechanism

For arcing shoes with fixed anchors the barrett brake doktor arcs and centers the shoes on the backing plate.

For full floating like bendix the aamco arcing machine works better , though the brake doktor has adapters to do bendix too
