The big decision to be made is "regular" (carbs biased towards the rear) or a "Super" (carbs positioned over the two sets of intake ports on the engine). I favor the latter (which requires "straight linkage") over the former (that may or may not) use a progressive setup.
Actually if you have a pickup, you would be better off with a small 4BBL, or even better, a small base Rochester 2G on a bored out 4 bolt late model Mercury manifold. It doesn't look as cool, but drives a lot better.
If you do decide to go with 2 2BBLS, make sure you stay away from those restrictive little chrome air cleaners.
Lookin' good is not always important as runnin' good.
