I hope you don't mind, but I will make a little assumption from your user name. I am in the "Corvette World" a bit myself, so I'm familiar with all of the "numbers matching" and "date code" stuff that goes on there. You will be surprised to find how little of that sort of thing goes on in the "Old Ford World". The later cars (shoeboxes etc.) are a little better, as they have data plates giving plant code, paint codes, date of manufacture, etc., but all of this is pretty much a mystery for the pre-war stuff.
