There were 96 Town Cars made in 1930 (Great Depression beginning to hit).
They made 1,013 Town Cars in 1929 (peak year of the Roaring 20's boom).
They made 89 in 1928 (ramping up production).
They didn't make/sell any in 1931, when the Great Depression was really in full swing.
As a side note, unemployment in the USA peaked at 25% in 1932. Think about how we all panicked when US unemployment got up around 10% a few years ago (and it was bad, I'm not trying to make light of it). Now think about 25%.
