I installed one of the plastic tanks in my 40. It went in from the bottom. It does not have the built in cage nuts for the bolts. It does not have the OEM bolt pattern for the sending and it did not come with a drain plug. It also comes closer to the tailpipe as it is a larger size - holding 16 gallons. Also, the fuel pick up is on the top of the tank. If I did it again I would install a stainless steel tank.
