Personally I think the 94 is a better carburetor. They are less temperamental and are less likely to leak. They flow a little more CFM's than the original 97's. If you are looking for that original nostalgia look that the 97's have then I would spend the extra money for the new 97's that Stromberg remakes. My vote would be to run the 94's, today very few people notice the difference anyways and you will have less issues than running a set of original 97's. Good luck with your decision.
