I believe they are the hanging hand assist straps at door/body pillar.
Regarding front seats, the adjusting seat is described as "the new quick adjustment mechanism, easily regulated even when occupied". They were mohair, not leather, unless Ford US had a leather trim option for Deluxe cars like Canada. Cheers
