When the car get hot starts missing skipping two a point where it just stops. On note is I have an external coil and when I take the coil wire near any engine part get a fabulous spark. When I pull a plug wire it is a weak spark until I let the engine cool down.

Are you using a correct coil? Too much voltage in this type of distributor can lead to the current finding alternate paths. The coil should only output what is needed to fire the plugs, but opening up the gap can increase the demand.
