I'm confused about the varieties of popout switches. The Andrews handbook shows an early style and a later style, both of which are basically cylindrical, and both of which show up on a google image search.

Over on ebay, however, there are currently about half a dozen items listed as popout switches that are basically conical.

Any ideas of where the conical switches come from and what they fit?
