Flat round disc? Sounds like you think that they slide back and forth rather than are firmly attached to the center cross member. Early '32 frame? That covers a fair amount of ground as there were three different 'early' center cross members, each with its own unique steady rod attachments, two of which are incompatible with the spacing of the rods on a '49-'53 engine. Nothing to it, however, right? (Incomplete questions get you incomplete answers every time.)
