Even later gas gauges are NOT too accurate ! ! That was always one of my pet PEEVES! The ones with a "LOW FUEL" light, sensed by a tube, are generally reliable.
On a Model A, if the float is adjusted to touch the top of the tank, when showing "F", when it shows "E", it will have about a GALLON left.
