Re: gas tank welting
I seen a video on youtube of the old factory assembly line. It showed the front of the 1929 cowl sides, firewall and gas tank as one unit with a guy placing it into the cowl side uprights with another guy putting in the beading and bolts. I have replaced the side and gas tank beading in a 29 coupe and it was a pain, if I had did it the way this video showed it would have been a lot easier, looks like the beading was placed on the cowl side uprights then the tank/cowl unit installed.
