Re: gas tank welting
I have noticed it under one of the gas tanks I have recently removed. Additionaly, I have looked at some original drawings for a Panel Delivery and some cross sections show friction tape at the gas tank and under the wooden roof header and other locations. It appears on at least the Panel Truck it was used it quite a few areas.
