Nice 53 truck! Once you understand the Ford parts numbering system it is a wonderful way to see what parts will interchange through the years. Ford didn't change the part number if the part didn't change so you will find parts on modern cars with B- or 18- parts numbers listed.

On a sad side note, I was talking with a parts counter guy at the Ford dealer who said they were scrapping the old system and going to something new. Probably has to do with computers and databases. It probably doesn't matter because few people can work on a new car.
