My first A was like that too.But,mine had a steel body that was bolted into the opening after the deck lid was removed.The body on mine was made locally,at a factory diagonally across the street from LeBaron Bonney.My uncles used it so hard loading rocks the top four inches was shredded and worn off.It was given to me in 1968,when I was 12.I put a closed cab on for about 25 years or so,then about 20 years ago I replaced that with a new open cab.I still drive it.
