They kept the original CV roof jus to the "B" pillar and cut the rest off, then they had to build the back portion of the roof to mate with the front part. Also notice the entire back window area is all custom made and doesn't look anything like the original '55/56 wagon windows. Besides that, the Parklane model didn't come out until '56.

It started as a 2-door ranch wagon & everything was changed from the cowl up & most all of the room. Doing it this was we where able to maintain the wagon fold down back seat & floor along with some of the tail gate features.
